CB Passive Income 5.0 Review: A Scam Or Turnkey System To Make Passive Income?

Can you really make a passive income through this “turnkey” system, or is it a scam out to take your money, time, and piece of mind?

Welcome to my CB Passive Income 5.0 Review, where I’ll be discussing what this product is, how it works, and ultimately help you decide if this program is for you.

And let me be upfront with you and say that I’m not supporting this product in any way, shape, or form — but simply providing you with helpful unbiased information so you can make a more informed decision as to whether or not this is something you may want to buy.

So with that said, let me jump right into things here…

Quick Summary Of CB Passive Income 5.0

Name: CB Passive Income 5.0

Website: cbpassiveincome.com

Price: 47 / month or $497 one time fee plus upsells

Rating: 2 out of 5

What Is CB Passive Income 5.0?

What is CB Passive Income

CB Passive Income 5.0 is basically an affiliate marketing course that teaches people how to make money online through selling Clickbank products as an email marketer — which is where it got its name.

However what makes this one different is that the entire business is already set up for you so that you can quickly start to generate money completely on auto pilot.

Since this product came out in 2013, it’s gone through 5 different versions with new additions being added to each one.

And now that version 5.0 is out, the creator Patric Chan says that this is a revolutionary “business in a box program” that can help you make a passive income online for several years to come.

Now before I get into how this product works, I want give a brief overview as to who the owner of CB Passive Income is.

Who Is Patric Chan?

Patric Chan

As I just mentioned, Patric Chan is the creator of CB Passive Income — and the thing I really like about him is he doesn’t try to hide the fact of who he is behind a fake picture and pen name with this product.

He is a REAL person that has spoken in 12 different countries about internet marketing 2005 — plus, coauthored “Clicking Cash” which was supposedly one of the best-selling books a while back.

And on top of that he was invited to ClickBank’s HQ to meet their CEO and other top management executives.

So in short he seems to be credible person that’s not out to scam you.

But just because he’s made a lot of money through the internet doesn’t necessarily mean that his products will do the same for you.

And I’ll explain what I mean by this in a second.

How Does CB Passive Income 5.0 Work?

The whole concept of CB Passive Income is to help beginners make money online by doing all the hard work for them.

Therefore after you purchase this product, you’ll then be given what they say is your own “secret web page” — which is actually just a squeeze page, his own courses that you can give away as a free gift, and your own unique affiliate links.

Then when a person clicks on your website and signs up to your email list, the system will automatically send out emails containing Clickbank offers and the opportunity to buy CBPI — then if they make a purchase you’ll earn a commission.

So your only job is to send traffic to your website, and let the system do all the other hard work for you.

How CB Passive Income Works

So it may seem like this system is helping you a great deal by giving you this done for you system — but there’re some drawbacks as well that you should be aware of.

Before I explain this though, let me give you some more insight as to what you’ll be getting if you buy this product.

What Does It Come With?

The main thing you’ll be getting with this product is the done for you sales funnel that promotes both Clickbank products and the CB Passive Income system.

This means you’ll be getting things such as…

1. Your own “Secret Web Page”

2. Courseres created by Patric that you can give away for free

3. A system that will write emails and promote products for you

4. And live monthly training sessions

And on top of that you’ll also be given some basic training on how to get traffic that involves Solo Ads, Bing Ads, and getting free traffic from YouTube.

What it comes with

And even though this training and system may look nice, I’m sure in the back of your mind you’re asking yourself…

Can You Make Money With It?

Yes you can make money with CB Passive Income ( especially if you already know how to get traffic ) — but there’s a few problems associated with this that I think you should know.

Problem #1 – You’re Not Building Your Own Business

Even though Patric claims you’ll be building your own email list and business with this product, what your actually doing is simply helping him expand his own.

Because at the end of the day the only thing you can control is how you get traffic — everything else is operated by Patric. And he makes it clear that you’ll be using his training sessions and promoting both his course and other Clickbank products to earn a commission.

So instead of creating your own emails that would allow you to build trust with your subscribers — at then end of the day your just helping Patric promote his business through emails he’s written.

This means if CB Passive Income were to shut down tomorrow you’d be left without a clue on how to do all of this on your own.

Problem #2 – Getting Traffic Is Not Easy

Even though you’re left with the one task of getting traffic to your site, what you may not know is that it’s the hardest part of the entire process.

Because if you can master how to get thousands of visitors a day, then you can sell just about anything online and make money.

But most people fail at building a successful online business because getting high quality traffic means you’ll have to spend a lot of money on ads, or work hard and be very patient to get it free from YouTube.

And since your just promoting a squeeze page rather than building a real website — you also can’t rely to get ranked within the search engines and get traffic that way either.

So again unless you already know how to generate a steady flow of visitors online — I think you’ll have a hard time getting traffic to your site.

Problem 3 – There’s Hidden Cost

Not only will you have to pay a one time fee of $497 or spend $47 a month for this product, there’s also some extra cost within this program too.

Once you enter into the members area, you’ll be presented with 3 different upsells that cost a few hundred dollars, and your also suggested to buy ads to get traffic — which can cost you a small fortune creating and testing out.

So all in all you could easily be spending a few hundred dollars on this product each month if your not careful.

Problem 4 – You’re Forced To Promote Clickbank Products

Last but not least, this system makes you promote other Clickbank products within the Internet marketing niche. And the problem with this is that 90% of these products are either very low quality, or just plain scams out to steal peoples money.

Here’s just a few of them that I reviewed in the past…

So even if you were able to get people to buy some of these products, more then likely you won’t earn anything since they’ll be asking for a refund within a day or two after purchasing it.

Is CB Passive Income 5.0 A Scam?

CB Passive Income is not a scam since you are getting a real product, with real training, and you can make money with it.

However it’s not something I recommend you buy due to you not having full ownership over your business, having to spend a lot of money on traffic, and the fact that your forced to sell only certain products almost as if your were part of an MLM company.

What I Like About It

  • You’ll be buying a real product with decent training
  • Patric is a real person unlike many other programs I’ve reviewed where the owner uses fake pictures and pen names
  • There’s a 60-day money back guarantee

What I Don’t Like About It

  • There’s hidden upsells
  • You don’t have full ownership of your business
  • Your led to believe that you can make money easily with this done for you system
  • You’ll have to spend extra money for traffic ( which can get costly )

Who Is CB Passive Income 5.0 For?

CB Passive Income 5.0 is mainly for beginners that have no prior experience in making money online, and also don’t mind having a business that’s not entirely theirs.

However if your an intermediate or advanced marketer, or want to build a business around something not related to making money online — then this product will not help you.

My Final Rating

2 out of 5 ( Not Recommended )

At the end of the day, CB Passive Income is an average product geared toward beginners by providing them with a premade sales funnel to make money online.

But since your buying a “business in a box”, you have no control over your business and are forced to sale products that may or may not be good.

And with the training also urging you to spend money on traffic just to help promote Patric’s system — I don’t see this as something worth purchasing.

Therefore Here’s What I Recommend You Do

Instead of relying on done for systems to earn an income online like this one here, why not take your time to learn how to build a business from the ground up that you will 100% own?

That way you can promote whatever you want, and keep 100% of the earnings.

And with the help of this program here, you can learn exactly how to do this and more with their step by step training, 24/7 support, and online tools.

And best of all is you can try it out completely for free, no strings attached.

  1. Most affiliate marketing programs like this are scams and not worth the money. Even the price slammed on the platform seems like a rip off to me.

There’s t’s just one question you have to ask yourself when joining platforms like this —  and that’s if you can actually earn from it.

My answer is no, because the platform doesn’t offer any value what so ever to its customers from what I can see.

Thanks for putting up a nice article here so people that have not come across this platform will know all about it and how it works.

    • Thanks for your comment Dammy.

Now I do want to make one thing clear, and that is you can make money from this program.

However as I mentioned in my post, what you’ll have to do in order to succeed is buy your traffic — which can get VERY costly ( especially for beginners ).

So for that reason and a few others, I don’t see this as a good program for teaching people how to earn an income online.

If you truly are wanting a legit program to teach you how to build a profitable business online ( that also won’t cost you an arm and a leg ) — I suggest you check out my #1 recommended product here.

You’ll learn how to build websites and drive massive FREE traffic to it with the help of their step by step training.

  2. I like your honest review CB Passive Income 5.0 and the advantage and the disadvantage are well stated.

With all I have read here it shows that CB Passive Income 5.0 is not a program suited well for people looking to make money online.

I however am very intersted in your other recommendation you posted within your post. Can you explain a little bit more about it?

    • You can read about my #1 most recommended program here — but I’ll also give you a quick overview as to what it is.

The program teaches you how to build websites around any particular subject you want with step by step training ( both in video and written format ) — then it will show you how to drive organic traffic to it through Google and other search engines.

Then once someone lands on your site, you’ll suggest products that they are already looking to buy. And when someone makes a purchase, you’ll earn part of the commission.

And when you get your site built up enough, it can make you a passive income online whether your sleeping, eating, or on vacation.

      Hope this helps you out.

  3. Hi

You have given quite an objective review of CB Passive Income.

I have some experience in internet marketing and I agree with you that it is not easy to generate traffic to a site. And there are some products that are of dubious quality in CB and the subscriber will definitely request a refund thus depriving the person who signed up for CB Passive Income of the commission.

The beginners may not be aware of these and other issues and you have brought these to their attention.

Finally I agree with you that it’s best to learn the ropes of internet marketing step-by-step,master the process and set up your own online business. And be fully in charge!

WA is the real deal and I as a Premium member can vouch for the awesome tools, training and support available there.

    • Thanks for your comment Rubicon, and I’m glad to see that you and I agree on a lot of things.

I think the one of the biggest disadvantages CB Passive Income has going for itself, is you are not building your own online business — but simply helping someone else expand their own.

Therefore your left helpless and confused if this system were to ever shut down, because you would not have the knowledge or skills on how to re create a business from scratch — which is what WA teaches people how to do.

  4. I really appreciate your detailed break down of the pros and cons of CB Passive Income 5.0. There are a number of reasons I would not want to try CB Passive Income. First of all I don’t like just promoting someone else’s product and being stuck with no other avenue to branch out. I would be bored out of my mind just driving traffic to someone else.

I want to run my own business and that means learning how to do all the steps myself (or know who to outsource it to). I will never run my own IT Support but also don’t want to just be a cog in someone else’s business wheel. I want more control over my own business.

I would also feel very uncomfortable just promoting random online Clickbank products which I was not experienced in or had confidence in. I want to promote a product I use myself and believe in.

The upsells here also concern me. I don’t want to sign up for something like this and then discover I have to spend more money. I agree with you that getting traffic is hard so I would not want to have to spend a ton of money on advertising. If I have to do all that I might as well have my own website and promote products I really believe in!

    • Thanks for your comment Swangirl, and I couldn’t agree more.

Simply spending money to drive traffic to other peoples products is NOT how you go about building a real business online — and it’s also not a profitable or smart way to make money either.

That’s why I highly recommend people to learn how to build their own website and learn how to do SEO so they can generate free traffic to start off with. It will take time and hard work — but it won’t cost you a ton of money in the process.

And the great thing is once your site starts to earn you money, you can take some of those profits and then try paid methods.
