So you’ve probably come here looking how to sell Amazon products online, and I have to admit I don’t blame you. They are the largest e-commerce in the store, and just about everyone goes there to do their shopping online.
Last year in 2017 Amazon made a total of around $178.00 billion dollars! So even if you learned how to get a tiny fraction of that for yourself, you would still be making a lot money.
Many people though don’t know the exact steps on how to do this, and usually just throw affiliate links everywhere like on Facebook or YouTube in hopes it will make them money.
I can tell you right now if you do this — you will be lucky to even get 1 sale a month. So how exactly should you go about selling Amazon products online?
Well it basically boils down to 3 things:
- Determine what items you want to sell
- A website to sell the items you want to promote on
- And lastly a way to get people to your site
If this still sounds confusing, don’t worry — as I am about to show you how to do each step in a much more detail.
Before you do any of that though, you first need to become an affiliate with Amazon.
How To Sign Up To Be An Amazon Affiliate
Amazon has a very nice affiliate program allowing you to make money once you partner up with them. To do this, you simply want to go to Amazon Associates and create a free account with them.

Now once you’ve gone and signed up with them, you are now able to sell any product you want from their site. Like I said though, you don’t want to just try and sell everything on there — instead you want to find particular items that appeal to a small group of people.
Or what is more commonly called a niche.
1. First You Need To Find Your Niche
If you don’t know what a niche is, or how to find one — then don’t worry as it’s very easy to do.
Basically a niche is a small group of people all who have interest in a particular subject matter. And guess what? Amazon already breaks down these different subjects for you.
In this example lets say we want to talk about lawn and garden. We would then click the departments, go to home and garden, then click garden and outdoor.
Many people here would stop and use this as their niche. However, the more specific you can get, the better your conversions are going to be.
Next you would look around this section and narrow your niche down to a very specific topic.
Let’s say you want greenhouses and accessories to be your niche. I know have a very specific subject matter that I can now work with, and start finding items to sell.
Now that you know what kind of items you want to sell, next you have to have a place to sell them on.
2. Next You Need A Website To Promote Products On
Having a website is going to be very crucial in helping you sell products from Amazon. Otherwise, you’re just going to be posting stuff on social media and forums, in hopes people will click on your links.
Now once you create a website, you obviously want to start promoting different products within your niche.
To do this, you can activate what is called “site stripe” — which allows you to get an affiliate link for any product in text, image, or text and image format.
Now after you have your affiliate link, I Personally I like to create a different article for each product talking about the pros and cons of it. This makes it very easy for people to get a good understanding of how each product works — which will result in you making more sales.
As you continue doing this, you also may want to write articles on how best to take care of greenhouses and maybe what type of plants are best to use. Then you can link these articles to products like stands, frames, or plant food.
3. Last But Not Least You Need To Get People To Your Site
Obviously you’re not going to be selling many items if you can’t get people to your site right? So now the last piece of the puzzle is learning how to drive traffic to your website, so that people can start clicking on your affiliate links.
Now there are many ways you can about doing this, but I personally like to rank my sites on Google to bring me free traffic.
To do this, you simply want to find keywords that have low competition that also get some traffic — that way you can get ranked on page 1 of Google.
Here is an example doing a quick search on greenhouses:
As I mentioned before, I would then create an article about an outdoor portable greenhouse & outdoor mini greenhouse.
Now as I continue to do this, I would start to rank these search terms on Google which would starting bringing people to my site on a daily basis.
Down the road as you start making money with your site, you may wan to start buying ads to bring even more people to your site. However I would focus first on getting your site rank, because it’s a free method to get a ton of high converting traffic.
