Writing articles is no easy task, plain and simple.
This is especially true for bloggers and other content creators that have to pump out article after article on a regular basis.
You have to figure out what you want to write about, you have to research information about the topic you want to talk about, you have actually write the article ( which means 1,000 words minimum), then you have to proofread it.
So in short there’s a lot that you have to do, and it can get very time-consuming doing it.
But I’ve found a way on how to write an article with 1,000 words so quickly and easily that you’ll be able to finish 1 – 2 articles in a day instead of in a week.
So while what I’m saying may seem impossible to some of you, stick around and you’ll see why this actually isn’t all that hard to do.
1. Do Your Research Before You Write
First and foremost, when it comes to writing an article, doing research is an absolute must!
But if you were like me back in the day, you probably write your article and do research at the same time right?
Well it turns out that by doing this, something that should of took you 20 minutes to write actually turns into 2 hours if not longer.
So what you want to do is do all your research beforehand ( such as getting specific facts like dates or instruction on how to do something ) — then makes notes in your article so that you can reference to them later on.
Then after you’ve done all the research you feel is needed, all that’s left to do is simply write your article.
And since you don’t have to go searching around the internet while you are creating it, it means you can focus more of your energy writing plus have less chance of getting distracted by other things.
2. Create The Title Of Your Article
Creating a good title for your article not only will help you get more traffic from the search engines, but it also dictates what the rest of your entire post will be about.
So you’re going to want to spend a good amount of time coming up with a good title that both is catchy, and will also let people know what they are about to read about.
Now what I normally like to do, is brainstorm a few ideas on my own when coming up with a title — but if I can’t think of anything I’ll type my keyword into Google and see what the top 10 websites look like.
And by just browsing through the different titles on Google, you’ll quickly see that a rush of ideas will come to your mind that you didn’t have a second ago.
3. Breakdown Your Article Into Different Topics
One of the hardest things to do for as a writer, is to sit down in front of computer with a white screen and just start typing away.
In fact it’s practically impossible, because I remember this is how I use write back in the day… sitting there what seemed like hours paralyzed and not knowing what to write.
But a simple way to overcome this, is by breaking down your article into different topics.
You see this not only will help overcome the dreadful blank white screen — but it will dramatically increase your writing efficiency!
Now while you can do this however you want, what I normally like to do is start each one of my articles with an intro, have 3 – 4 supporting ideas within in, then a conclusion to wrap things up.
And to make things even easier for me, I’ll usually write the introduction to my article, then add notes to each of my supporting ideas while I do my research so that I know what I want to say later on.
So again that when it comes to writing, all I have to do is just spell out what I want to say and write a conclusion wrapping up what I just talked about.
4. Write Your Entire Article In One Go Without Stopping
Believe it or not, this is actually the easiest part of the entire thing — because you’ve already done all the hard work beforehand.
You’ve done all your research, you’ve outlined your post into different topics so you already know what you want to talk about, and you’ve also come up with your title and possibly already written your introduction as well.
So all you have to do is simply put your ideas down onto the screen, just as if you were talking to a close friend about your subject matter.
And to makes things easy for me, what I like to do is close everything out from my computer, keep my phone away from me ( because it’s a big distraction ), then give myself a solid hour to focus on nothing but writing.
Which also means no fixing any grammatical or spelling mistakes.
I simply power write my entire post from beginning to end until it’s finished. Which is how I and thousands of other people can write an entire article within 30 minutes to an hours time ( this one actually took me 45 minutes ).
5. Fix Any Mistakes Your Article Has After It’s Written
After you’ve written your entire article ( which might look pretty bad but that’s OK ) — NOW it’s time to go over it with a fine tooth comb and fix any mistakes you see within it.
This means correcting all your grammar and spelling mistakes, making sure it is at least 1,000 words in length, that it has both internal and external links, and lastly that it has a few pictures to make it look good.
And if you’re like me, you probably like this part because you get to find pictures and make your post look good.
But I bet after reading this post, I think your going to start like writing just as much as you like editing your post. 🙂
6. Write Your Post In Batches To Increase Your Productivity
Now once you know how to write 1 article quickly with the steps I’ve shown above, next you can focus on writing several posts a day / week by doing them in batches.
And what I mean by this, is you can set aside 5 – 10 post you’d like to create then do the research for each one, write the title for each one, and then breakdown each article into different topics.
Then once you’ve done this, you have theoretically just completed 10 post in one day, since all there’s left to do is simply write them out — which again should take no longer than an hour max to do.
And with this strategy, I think you’ll be surprised at how you’ll start being able to post articles daily to your blog rather than doing just 2 – 3 a week.
7. Time Yourself To Write Faster
Then last but not least, once of the easiest ways to start writing articles faster, is to basically challenge yourself to type faster.
Because instead of doing what your use to ( which might be taking your time to slowly write an article as you sip on your coffee in the morning ) you are forcing yourself to write as fast as you possibly can within a short period of time.
And when you do this, what you actually end up doing is making your productivity shoot through the roof!
So what I like to do from time to time, is get at timer whether it be on my phone or one online such as this one here:
Set it for 30 mins, and start!
Then after 30 minutes, I check to see how many words I have written so I can try to beat it the next time around.
And trust me if you do this one simple exercise, you’ll be surprised at how much you can get done when your only focus is on writing and nothing else.
Writing articles is important to just about everyone online, be it bloggers or freelancers — and the more you can write the better you’ll be since content is king.
And by following these 7 simple steps I just laid out, I think you’ll be surprised how you can start pushing articles out on a daily basis, and do so without all the stress you once had.
Now I’ll be honest and say I wish came up with this strategy on my own, but in reality I learned how to become a better writer with the help of this program here.
