Is Bellame A Scam

Hey there how’s it going?

You’re probably here because you’ve stumbled upon the company or someone has asked you to join their team, and now you want to know is Bellame a scam or a legit online opportunity.

Well within my review today I’ll be covering what this business is selling, how their compensation plan works, how much it cost to join it, and most importantly letting you know if it’s something you should be spending your time and money on.

So with that said, let’s get into it!

Quick Summary Of Bellame

Name: Bellame

Price: $19.19 – $400.00

Rating: 3 out of 5

What Is Bellame?

Bellame is an MLM ( multi-level-marketing ) business that deals with cosmetic and beauty supplies.

It was being formed back in 2017 but didn’t officially launch until July of 2018.

The people behind this company are Scott and Melissa Thompson who seem to have several years of marketing experience between the both of them.

In fact on Mellisa’s Linkedin profile, she says that for the past 20 years she’s been able to work with some of the top companies around the world while also doing social selling.

So it seems that this company is in good hands from the looks of it.

Now they say the reason they wanted to create Bellame was to give women products to make them look beautiful, while at the same time helping them build an online business that can help them achieve their financial destinies.

But can this company really help the average woman achieve these things, or will they be left spending more money than they are making?

Well I don’t wanna say that it’s impossible ( because it totally is ) — but there are 2 main factors as to why I think the majority of people who join this opportunity will fail.

I’ll explain more about why I think this though later within my review.

What Does Bellame Sell?

As I previously mentioned, Bellame sells beauty supplies to make women feel and look better. The products they offer can be broken down into two different categories… skincare, and makeup.

Here’s what you’ll find when you go to their site:

Is Bellame A Scam - Makeup and body wash

Skincare / Body

  • Baobab Body Wash 8 OZ ( $27.00 )
  • Dream Luxe Sleeping Mask ( $70.20 )
  • Hydrating Eye Cream ( $61.20 )
  • Hydrating Moisturizer ( $70.20 )

  • Moisturizing Lipstick ( $25.20 )
  • Moisturizing LipGloss ( $24.30 )
  • Luxe Liquid Eyeliner ( $23.00 )
  • Luxe Color Palette ( $68.00 )

Now how effective these products are I can’t say since I’m a guy and have no need for these types of items.

However I will say that the cosmetic / beauty niche is VERY competitive — so I know for a fact you’re going to have an uphill battle ahead up of you if you decide to join this company.

Bellame Compensation Plan

As with almost every MLM on the planet, their compensation plans are long, complicated, and use terminology that isn’t found anywhere in a dictionary.

So it’s very confusing and frustrating having to try and figure out how it works, and if you ask me I think deep down they like doing this to people.

Anyways to keep you from having to go through the trouble of deciphering everything out for yourself, I will go over what I think are the most important parts within my review.

Affiliate Ranks

There are 11 different ranks you can obtain within Bellame.

  1. Partner – sign up and maintain $300 in retail orders over a span of 3 months.
  2. Senior Partner – Make 500 PV plus recruit and maintain at least one Partner
  3. Executive Partner – Make 1,000 PV and recruit plus maintain at least 3 Partners
  4. Director – Maintain 250 PV and 3,000 GV plus recruit and maintain at least 4 Partners
  5. Senior Director – Maintain 250 PV and 3,000 GV plus recruit and maintain at least 4 Partners and 1 Director
  6. Executive Director – Maintain 250 PV and 3,000 GV plus recruit and maintain at least 4 Partners and 2 Directors
  7. Diamond Director – Maintain 250 PV and 3,000 GV plus recruit and maintain at least 4 Partners and 4 Directors
  8. Senior Diamond Director – Maintain 250 PV and 3,000 GV plus recruit and maintain at least 4 Partners and 5 Directors, as well as make $25,000 in total downline team sales
  9. Executive Diamond Director – Maintain 250 PV and 3,000 GV plus recruit and maintain at least 4 Partners and 5 Directors, as well as make $75,000 in total downline team sales
  10. Platinum Executive Director – Maintain 250 PV and 3,000 GV plus recruit and maintain at least 4 Partners and 6 Directors, as well as make $125,000 in total downline team sales
  11. Presidential Director – Maintain 250 PV and 3,000 GV plus recruit and maintain at least 4 Partners, 12 Directors, and 1 Platinum Executive Director, as well as make $250,000 in total downline team sales

Each rank that you earn will give you the option to earn more money through your downline.

However as you can see in order to climb higher in the ranks you’ll have harder goals you’ll have to meet — which eventually are almost impossible to obtain.

Retail Commissions

When you are selling Bellame’s products directly to a customer, you can earn 25% if you’re a Partner, and 40% if you are a Director or higher.

Residual Commissions

Bellame uses a unilevel structure within their compensation plan.

This means that everyone you recruit will be directly beneath you as you build your team — and that you will also earn a certain percentage of all their commissions.

Is Bellame A Scam - Unilevel compensation structure

Now how Bellame pays you is based on something called a generation — which is when a Director is found within one of the legs of your team.

And when another Director is found within the same leg that will be your 2nd generation — and so on and so forth all the way up to 4 generations deep.

So based on this model, here’s how much you can expect to make based on what rank you are.

  • Directors make 5% on the first generation found within their leg
  • Senior Directors earn 5% on their first generation, and 6% on the second
  • Executive Directors earn 5% on their first generation, 6% on the second, and 3% on the third
  • Diamond Directors and above earn 5% on the first generation, 6% on the second, 3% on the third and 2% on the fourth

Now you can also earn extra bonuses when you meet a certain requirement within this company.

For example they have what is called the Lifestyle bonus, which is obtained when you maintain your rank and you sell so many products per month.

Also they have what is called the business building bonus, which will give you a 4% commission for the sales of personally sponsored partners in your first line.

Now there are a few other ones I could list, but I think you get the picture about now.

However if you would like to see the entire compensation plan for yourself, you can click this link here which will let you view it.

How Much Does It Cost?

To become an affiliate of Bellame you’ll have to choose one of their starter kits within their website.

You will have 3 choices to choose from which are as follow:

  1. Essentials Starter Kit ( $200.00 )
  2. CEO Luxe Kit ( $400.00 )
  3. Digital Save Kit ( $19.19 )

Now the main difference between these kits is the number of products you get to sale.

For example the Digital Save kit only gives you a site, plus 40% savings on all your personal orders.

Is Bellame A Scam - Digital Save Kit

But the CEO Luxe Kit gives you things such as…

  • Sleeping Mask
  • Brushes
  • Lipsticks
  • Lip Liners
  • And more

So if you are seriously thinking about joining this company, It would probably be in your best interest to buy the Essentials Starter Kit or the CEO Luxe Kit — since it actually gives you items you can sell.

What I Like About It

  • This is a fairly new company

While I’m not a fan of MLM’s, there is no mistake that if you can join one when it first launches or is still kinda new — that you have the chance to earn some decent money.

I say this because there’s usually a lot of hype surrounding the company, plus there are no negative reviews to steer people away.

So this makes it much easier to persuade people to buy your products, join your team, or both.

  • This company is owned by two experienced people

The fact that you get over 40 years of experience when you combine Mellisa and Scott’s past, is always a good sign.

This means that they will know what they are doing, and have a better chance at creating a company where people can succeed.

Here’s a short 3 minute video where Mellisa talks about how she came up with the idea to create Bellame in the first place.

  • This company focuses heavily on retail sales

Whenever an MLM compensation plan focuses more on selling their products rather than recruiting members, this is a VERY good sign.

This is because a major sign that a company is a Pyramid Scheme is when they have no product for sale, or you make the majority of your income by recruiting people into their membership.

But with Bellame here, you only have to recruit 4 people max to reach the highest rank within the company — which is basically unheard of within the MLM industry!

So this is something I really liked about this company while researching it.

What I Don’t Like About It

  • This company is in a very competitive niche

One of the major drawbacks of joining this company is they are in one of the most competitive niches on the planet, which is cosmetic beauty.

Because everywhere you look you got girls selling these kinds of products on YouTube, you got MLM companies popping up left and right selling their own brand, and the fact that there is a physical store on almost every corner a woman can go to and shop at.

And I don’t know if all girls are the same, but once my wife finds a certain brand she likes it’s VERY hard to persuade her to try something different.

So you’re going to have to be a very good salesperson and convince people why Bellame is a better choice to buy from rather than the millions of other companies out there.

  • Their products are very expensive

Now if Bellame being in a competitive niche wasn’t bad enough, another thing I noticed right off the bat was their products are more expensive than other competing companies.

Now I normally wouldn’t know if a women’s product was being sold too much or too little — but just the other day I reviewed a company called Everra which also was within the beauty niche.

And when I compared these two companies side by side, I noticed that Bellame’s products were being sold for more as you can see here.

  • Bellame’s color palette = $68, and Everra’s color palette = $31
  • Bellame’s LipGloss = $24.30, and Everra’s LipGloss = $15

Now unless Bellame’s products are made of a much better quality than most companies out there, I’m sure many women like my wife would rather save several dollars buying the one that is less expensive.

  • The chances of you building a full time income with this company are low

Now as I just mentioned, building a team within an MLM business is extremely hard. In fact it’s so hard that 99% of all people end up failing.

This is because you have to have good people skills, be able to accept rejection well, and know how to be a team leader to hundreds of individuals.

Sadly though many people don’t possess these traits, and is why I think the majority of people fail in this business.

Is Bellame A Scam?

Bellame is definitely not a scam.

They are a legitimate MLM business that allows you to either sell beauty supplies directly to people or build a team to make an income.

However if you go the route of  of building a team, the chances of you actually earning what most people would consider a full time income is less than 1%.

And I don’t know about you but when I’m trying to build a business, I want to at least make enough each month to pay some of my major bills.

But unfortunately most people who join MLM’s usually end up making nothing, or worst going in debt due to not being able to make enough sales.

Luckily Bellame focuses a great deal on selling their products directly to people — so you have a better chance of doing well with them.

My Final Thoughts

Belamme is definitely a legit opportunity that will allow you to sell cosmetic and beauty supplies to individuals — however there are a few drawbacks to joining this company as well.

They are in a very competitive market, their products are way overpriced, and at the moment it looks like it will be extremely hard to earn a good income through this company.

Because at the end of the day you’ll still have to build a team ( even if it’s small ) which means that the majority of your income is not going to be based on what you do — but rather if the people within your team are successful at marketing this company.

And I don’t know about you, but I don’t like the idea of how much money I make to be determined on other people’s marketing skills.

This is why I prefer affiliate marketing to generate an income online.

There’s no recruiting whatsoever, you can sell whatever products you want, and you don’t have to spend a dime on advertising.

You simply create helpful content that points people towards products they’re already looking for  — then get paid a commission each time they buy something.

  1. Hi there,

I really enjoyed reading your article and I 100% agree. We have a lot of these networking companies based in the U.K., targeting people who want to generate a second income or have a bit more freedom. I tried it and it did not work for me at all, I didn’t believe in the products and felt like I was harassing my social media followers to sign up.

I really like the idea of affiliate marketing because with our websites we attract viewers without pressure. It’s way more fun and productive. Well said!

    • Thanks for the comment Ashyra, and if you want to try your hands at affiliate marketing I’d suggest you check out my #1 recommended product called Wealthy Affiliate.

They have an amazing community of supportive and knowledgeable people, their training is easy to follow and up to date on the latest trends — and best of all is it’s completely free to try!

And I want to add that I’ve reviewed hundreds of programs in my career and have tested quite a few of them out as well — and none of them have come close to what WA offers it’s members.

  2. Thank you for your review of Bellame.  I agree that with the emphasis on product sales, it does offer some opportunity.  The thing that I have found is true of MLM companies, is that the products have to be a better quality, which leads to higher prices.  Often when you enter the company, you are at one point in your life- you need a change, you are looking for a product, whatever.

As it takes a while to grow your business, after a couple or 3 years as you have begun to build your branch to grow your income possibilities, there is some sort of change that starts making bumps for you.  Illness, yours or a family member.  Then there is spouses job change.  Then our kids needs change.  Your product supply runs into issues.  Always one of life’s little problems that can and will be worked around.

Meanwhile, you don’t meet a sales quota, you miss a special promotion, your best client becomes a hippy and no skincare.  Then she talked her 3 sisters and mom into joining her “natural” phase.  Your most productive recruit gets pregnant with a difficult pregnancy and 100% bedrest.  You know – all those little things.  Your production goes down, soon you are spending all you make on the product.  Another reason to totally immerse your self in the online world.  Build your own business.  Thanks for letting me get on my soapbox about MLM’s!

    • Haha no problem Sami, I’m glad you could vent out your frustrations and explain how you really feel about MLM’s.

And I don’t blame you in that when you are required to build a team little things here and there in life can get in the way and either slow you down or make your business come crashing down altogether.

This is why at the end of the day I prefer affiliate marketing because you don’t have to deal with building teams, products, or even when you personally get sick — because your website will be working for you 24 / 7.
