What Is Paparazzi Accessories?

Paparazzi Accessories is an MLM company that is in the fashion niche.

It began with two sisters by the names of Misty and Chani who wanted to show women how to look great by wearing trendy and cool looking jewelry that wasn’t too expensive.

Quickly they saw that women loved what they were selling and were buying it up like a kid in a candy store — so in 2008 they started this company and within 6 months saw a 900% growth.

And the company is still doing great till this day.

However before you get all excited and leave this page to sign up to them, I urge you to continue reading to see some details that may easily change your mind.

What Does Paparazzi Accessories Sell?

As I mentioned earlier, Paparazzi Accessories is all about selling accessories to make women look and feel great without having to break the bank.

When you go onto their website you’ll see they sell items such as necklaces, earrings, bracelets, rings, and more.

However the unique twist with this company is that all their products only cost $5.

Also they claim that all their products are lead-free, nickel-free, originally made, and only available to buy through their consultants.

Paparazzi Accessories Compensation Plan

As with almost all MLM companies online, they are confusing to decipher and usually make you end up with a headache.

So for this reason, I’m going to be going over the basics of how it works and let you look into it deeper if you want to.

Affiliate Ranks

In Paparazzi Accessories there are 14 different ranks you can achieve.

  1. Consultant
  2. Star Consultant
  3. Director
  4. Premier Director
  5. Executive Director
  6. Producer
  7. Premier Producer
  8. Executive Producer
  9. Fashionista
  10. A-Lister
  11. Maven A-Lister
  12. Jetsetter
  13. Luxe Jetsetter
  14. Impressionista

To go up in ranks with this company you’ll have to sell so many items per month plus recruit a certain amount of people into your team.

Is Paparazzi Accessories A Scam - The different ranks you can earn

Retail Commissions

With Paparazzi Accessories, you can earn anywhere between 35% – 45% of all the products you sell.

Now this may seem like a lot, but remember each item is only $5.00.

So basically you’ll be buying the products for $2.75 each, then selling it to make a profit of only $2.25!

Residual Commissions

Their residual compensation structure is a unilevel one, meaning that everyone you recruit will be directly beneath you.

Here you can make anywhere between 5% – 36% of your total team’s commissions depending on what rank you are.

No naturally if you are rank 1 you won’t earn all that much, but if you are rank 14 then you can start earning some good money.

Aso you’ll need to buy at least $70 worth of products each month if you want to earn your commissions.

Bonuses

As with most MLM companies they reward the people who are able to climb high in the ranks and stay there.

For example with Paparazzi Accessories you can earn an additional 1% on your entire downline when you get the Impressionista rank.

Also you will get a one time cash reward of $50,000 if for two consecutive months you maintain the rank of an Impressionist.

Now again this is just an overview of their plan, but if you want the full details about it Paparazzi Accessories compensation plan, and also watch this short video.

How Much Does It Cost?

When you sign up for Paparazzi Accessories you have to buy a starter kit, then choose from 3 different options:

  1. Preview Pack ($99)
  2. Small Home Party Kit ($299)
  3. Large Home Party Kit ($499)

The difference between the packs is how many products you get. For example with the Preview Pack you’ll only get 35 pieces of jewelry to sell while the large home party kit will give you 200 pieces.

What I Like About It

  • They offer a wide variety of products to choose from

One thing I really liked about this company was the wide range of products they had for sale. So if there’s something you don’t like at the start, you probably will find something sooner or later.

  • They are open about their earnings and compensation structure

I was also pleased to see that this company was willing to share its compensation plan and income disclosure directly on their site to show how well they are doing.

I can’t tell you how many times I have to go digging around for what seems hours to figure this information out.

What I Don’t Like About It

  • You have a 99% chance of earning less than minimum wage with this company

According to their income disclosure, about 99% of all their members earn on average less than $500 a month which is almost the same if not less than what most third world countries earn.

Is Paparazzi Accessories A Scam - income disclosure

  • The amount you make per item sold is VERY little

When you are only earning $2 dollars per item you’re going to need to sell A LOT of items to make a decent income. It kind of reminds me of dollar general stores where everything is sold for a dollar.

  • You have to throw parties to recruit people

The main way they tell you to market your jewelry is to throw parties and invite your neighbors, friends, and family. However after you’ve gone through them all, what will you do?

Is Paparazzi Accessories A Scam?

I would not call Paparazzi Accessories a scam because they are a legit MLM business where you can make money either by selling jewelry or recruiting people and building a team.

However with that said, I see this more as a hobby and not a real business that can help pay your bills simply due to how very little you’ll make for each item you sell.

But if you are someone who likes cool looking jewelry and also knows several people that are the same way — you might be able to do well and earn some decent money with them.

My Final Thoughts

At first Paparazzi Accessories looks like a fun and exciting business you can join and earn money with — but after a while I think you’ll see the reality of how hard it is to make an income with this company.

I mean when you’re generating a profit of only $2.25 per item, you’ll have to sell on average 450 pieces of jewelry to make $1,000 a month.

Also in order to become successful with an MLM business, you’ll have to go out each day begging friends, family, and co workers to join your team — and hope they will do the same in return.

Which to me sounds like a downright embarrassing way to go about earning some extra money.

This is why I prefer affiliate marketing.

There’s no recruiting whatsoever since you can attract thousands of visitors to your site for free, you can sell whatever products you want, and best of all is you don’t have to spend a dime on advertising ( unlike MLM’s where you’ll usually spend thousands ).

So if this sounds like something you may want to try out instead, check out my #1 recommended product online.

It gives you step by step training, 24/7 support, all the tools you’ll need to be successful, and best of all it’s 100% free to join.

  1. Hey.

I just read your article on Paparazzi scams. I have been involved with pyramid schemes before, and I would definitely stay away from them.

I have never heard of Paparazzi Accessories, so let me commend you for bringing this to our attention. I think that young women would be really interested in your article, as it is easy to get roped into these schemes at a young age.

    Keep up the great work.

    • Thanks for the comment.

I want to make it clear that I do not think this company is a scam — just that it is very unlikely you’ll be able to earn a good income with them ( as you can see within their income disclosure ).

But as I talked about within my article, if you a woman who likes jewelry and just wants to sell some for fun and aren’t looking to earn all that much — then I could see this being perfect for you.

  2. Hello dear, nice review on Paparazzi Accessories.

Fashion is one of the top niches in the market, anyways I really find this review very useful.

I very much agree with you that it will be difficult to make an income with this company, due to the fact you have to build a team and sell cheap jewelry.

So I don’t think this is for me.

    Thanks

Now if you aren’t interested in building teams or selling jewelry ( because it is kind of boring and hard ), I think you’ll like my #1 product online.

It teaches you how to build a website from scratch and make money around a topic you are passionate about. And best of all is you can sell ANY product you want.

  3. Hello there,

Thanks for this very detailed and informative post on Paparazzi Accessories. I heard about this from a friend and decided to research it.

Your review has answered a lot of questions in my mind and this really will help me in making a decision.

Also I would like to know a little bit more about how affiliate marketing works if you don’t mind.

    • Sure I’d be glad to answer your question. 🙂

Affiliate marketing is basically where you sell other people’s products and get paid a small commission for doing so.

How the whole process works is you…

      – First find a niche / topic you are interested in

      – Build a website

      – Attract people to your site either through paid or free methods

      – Then sell these people products that they will be interested in.

I really like this business model because you don’t have to build teams, you’re free to sell whatever you want, and once you know how the whole process works you can build multiple streams of passive income going into your bank.

Now I’ve reviewed a lot of products in my career that teach people how to do this — BUT this program here has remained my #1 due to the fact that it’s cheap, it has high quality training, and there’s a huge community you can get help from.

If you decide to check it out, let me know what you think. Also I’ll be more than happy to help you get get a website set up and running if this is what you want to do.

  4. My sister was suggested to both buy their accessories and join as a consultant under her friend. I thought this one was a scam, but I’m glad it’s not after reading your review here.

Their accessories are somewhat decent for such a low price. I can imagine selling theirs to a few friends, but I’m not sure if someone like my sister who doesn’t have a large number of friends will be able to make decent money by doing it full-time.

    Thanks for the information.

    • I’m glad my review could help you out :).

And as I mentioned in my article, even though I think this is a legit company — it really seems more of a hobby or side hustle.

Because let’s face it, it’s going to be hard to sell 450 pieces of jewelry each month just to make $1,000 — and that’s not even considered a full time income in most parts of the world.

Now I don’t know your sister’s motives, but if she just enjoys wearing and selling jewelry for the fun of it — I think she will have a great time with this company for sure. 🙂
