Quick Summary Of Vantel Pearls
Name: Vantel Pearls
Price: $100 + Starter Kit ( $99 ) or Pro Kit ( $149 )
Rating: 2 out of 5
What Is Vantel Pearls?
Vantel Pearls is an MLM (multi-level-marketing ) company that sells different kinds of pearl jewelry.
The story of how it got started is when Joan ( the founder ) came back from Hawaii with an oyster that had a pearl inside of it — which was a gift for someone she knew.
When she saw the person open it, she realized how much they enjoyed it and wanted to share this same magical experience with everyone else around the world.
And that’s exactly what she did, and is why she started Vantel Pearls.
Fast forward to today, they say that even though they love selling pearl jewelry — what they actually enjoy more is making a difference in people’s lives.
And they explain they can do this by allowing anyone to join this company and build their own pearl thriving business.
But don’t get your hopes up too high, because as you’ll find out soon enough that the chances of this happening are actually very low.
What Does Vantel Pearls Sell?
As I mentioned earlier, Vantel Pearls sells a wide variety of jewelry on their website — each one made up of pearls.
What you’ll find on there is…
- And more
On average each of these products is around $80, but some of the items such as the keyrings are about $20 — and vice versa some of their necklaces go over $100.
Also what I found quite cool is that this company has kept to its roots and allows you to spend additional money to open your own oyster then take the pearl out of it and put it in a ring, necklace, or whatever you want.
Vantel Pearls Compensation Plan
Compensation plans are a pain to read and comprehend, mainly because they use lots of graphs and numbers to explain how you’ll be earning money.
So you usually feel like you’re back in Algebra trying to decipher a very hard equation for some major exam.
Therefore I will highlight the basics of how it works so you won’t have to go through all the trouble of trying to understand it yourself.
There are 6 different ranks you can earn within this company which are as followed:
- Star consultant
- Silver leader
- Gold leader
- Platinum director
- Pearl director
Now you’ll be able to earn more money with each higher rank you earn. The problem though is getting to these higher ranks is so hard that barley anyone makes it past being a Star Consultant.
Depending on what rank you are, you can earn anywhere between 25% – 33% commission for every product you sell.
This company uses a unilevel structure within their plan.
This means everyone you recruit into your team will be directly beneath you — and you will be able to earn a small percent on all the sales they make.
Now again the higher ranked you are, the bigger your allowed to build your team and the more money you can then make.
There are also a few different bonuses you’ll be able to earn with this company if you sell so many items within a month.
Now instead of boring you with the technical details, you can view their entire compensation plan right here to see exactly how it works.
But if you don’t feel like it, just remember you’ll only make money with Vantel Pearls either by selling your products directly to people or by building a team.
How Much Does It Cost?
You need to pay $100 to join Vantel Pearls. After you join, you have the option of choosing the starter kit at $99 or the Pro Kit at $149.
The only difference in these kits is the Pro one gives you more products that you can then sell or use to entice people to join your team.
What I Like About It
- They offer an uncommon product for sell on the market
Rather than your traditional weight loss supplement or clothing company — Vantel Pearls is selling pearl jewelry. They also allow you to shuck your own oyster and use the pearl you find as part of your jewelry.
Which in my opinion gives this company a fun and unique twist on things, because who wouldn’t love to shuck an oyster and find a classic white pearl or an exotic black pearl inside?
I know I would, and I’m a guy that has zero interest in jewelry.
- This company has been around for a while and is still going strong
The fact that Vantel Pearls has been around for more than 30 years basically speaks volumes in of itself.
Because an MLM company lasts on average about 5 – 7 years — but this one is still going strong, and doesn’t look like it’s going anywhere anytime soon.
What I Don’t Like About It
- Selling pearl jewelry might be harder than you think
Now while Pearls are definitely very pretty and look great on women — obviously not everyone is going to find them attractive ( especially the younger generations ).
So while you personally may love wearing pearls, the people you are trying to sell to may actually hate them.
On top of that, there are other companies such as Origami Owl which sell trinkets and other jewelry — but instead of using pearls, they use all kinds of cool items such as birthstones, superheroes, and more.
Which honestly I think people would find more enjoyable.
- Their products are not high quality
When I went over to BBB ( Better Business Bureau ) to see what people had to say about this company — the majority of the reviews were people complaining about how this companies jewelry was made poorly.
As you can see here, this lady had 3 of her stones fall out the very first day she wore it. And other people have said there have been dents in their pearls, their necklaces have been tarnished, and so on.
So I don’t know about you, but I wouldn’t want to join a company and sell products that were basically falling apart would you?
- They tell you to market their company through parties
The main way Vantel Pearls tells you to sell your products is by throwing parties.
This is basically where you invite a bunch of your friends and family to your house and then entertain them by having games, providing food, and so on.
Then at some point, you’re supposed to showcase your jewelry to everyone and try to get them to buy it.
Now I get that this is good because people can actually feel and see the products up close — but on the other hand this is a terrible marketing strategy.
Because most of the time people don’t feel like wasting their Saturday afternoon doing this ( regardless of what they say ) — and secondly, there are only so many people you know.
So even if you do manage to make some sales, you’re more than likely not going to make that much of a profit — and it’s basically a one time thing.
Therefore what are you going to do when you’ve invited everyone you know?
Nothing and go into debt — unless you know how to use the power of the internet and drive people to your website.
- The chances of succeeding are very slim
And this brings me to my last and most important reason as to why I wouldn’t recommend this company.
It’s because their MLM business model sets you up for failure at the very beginning. Because believe it or not, about 1% of everyone who joins an MLM company succeeds — which is 1 out of 100.
Not good odds is it?
And this is due to the fact that making money by selling products directly to people is never going to earn you a lot — which forces you to build teams.
But building a large and active team is so hard because again the only “training” you get is to invite your friends and family to join it — which as I’ve already explained is not going to make you succeed.
Is Vantel Pearls A Scam?
After everything is said and done, you’ll be glad to know that Vantel Pearls is not a scam.
It is owned by an honest and ethical woman, it sells legit products, and you can make money either by selling jewelry directly to people or by recruiting people and building a team.
The problem though is that both these methods make it extremely hard for you to earn what most people would consider a good income — and you’re more than likely going to break even or even go into debt.
This is why I would not recommend you join this company — simply because you have almost no chance of succeeding with it.
Is Vantel Pearls A Pyramid Scheme?
Vantel Pearls is also not a Pyramid Scheme.
Because as I just mentioned, for a company to be labeled a Pyramid Scheme their members will only be able to make money by recruiting people.
Which obviously isn’t the case here.
And the reason why this is illegal almost everywhere around the world is because only the people at the top make the money — while everyone at the bottom ( people who join later ) make nothing.
So what ends up happening is the company collapses onto itself when recruitment slows down or stops because it can’t pay everyone within its company.
Now to help explain this a little bit more simply, you can watch this short 2 minute video here.
My Final Thoughts
Vantel Pearls looks to be like a legit company that sells Pearl jewelry — and they even let you open your own oysters which makes it all that more fun.
However, the chances of you making a lot of money with this company is almost the same as you winning the lottery.
This is because their company forces you to build large teams in order to succeed — which means you’ll have to recruit hundreds of people into your team each and every month then teach them how to do the exact same thing.
And I don’t know about you, but I hardly know 50 people let alone hundreds upon hundreds of people who would want to join some random company.
This is why I prefer using affiliate marketing to generate an income online.
There’s no recruiting whatsoever, you can sell whatever products you want, and you don’t have to spend a dime on advertising.
You simply create helpful content that points people towards products they’re already looking for — then you get paid a commission each time they buy something.
